Anime Boston (Very early, yes.)
So as a few of you know, I was planning to cosplay Darry from Gurren Lagann this year at AB. But. A ton of my friends backed out of the Brigade we were planning. I really want to cosplay because it's fucking fun. Who should I be? UM I THINK YOU'VE ALL SEEN WHAT I LOOK LIKE, CONSIDERING MY PICSPAM.

Suggest some stuff and I'll make a poll/choose the one I like best. :D I want to be Murphy from The Dresden Files but that's STUPID because nobody knows what they are and I'd need a Harry.

ETA: This is my friend's new blog. He's mostly reviewing anime and games and talking about himself. I'm trying to prove to him that my personal blog with almost no relation to the outside world is more popular than his review blog, exclusively to spite him. GO VISIT IT, COMMENT, SAY I SENT YOU. Extra cookies for commenting with something like, "I'm only doing this because Smoke told me to." Then, I gloat. Incentive, hmm, I'll write drabbles for the first five people to comment on his blog. You don't need to prove it or anything, I trust you guys. :D Just comment here with what you'd like.

Arthur isn't sure when Merlin began to make his stomach twist. It was probably seeing him at work in the medical bay, healing Camelot from the bottom up. When he saw that, Arthur fell for him a little, lined up with the trusting lovesick, joined the congregations of the afflicted.

Space is... big. It's so big that you can't really describe it with a three-letter word. Space is enormous, yawning, gigantic, titanic. Space is empty. And when you're alone like that -- Infinitesimal in the blackness -- you look for things and people to cling to.

Fai snuck into the prisoner's bay around two in the morning, EST*. His pilot's badge gave him high-level clearance, and he got in without any trouble. The doors murmured sleepy hellos to him as he passed through.

He stood in front of one of the cell doors, staring in. The cells were steel on three sides, with one small window, and a thick, melt- and shatter-proof plastic panel on the fourth. The lights in this cell were off, and he could see, by the murky tracklights that lined the hallway, the suggestion of a shoulder, a back, an arm curled beneath an almost-invisible head.

He hardly noticed that he was fogging the plastic with his breath, that his hands were pressed hard against the barrier.

He could have unlocked the door. But Ashura would be upset, and maybe this rebel would be killed, or maybe he'd (Fai had no idea if this was worse or not) escape on his own, never to be seen again.

So he stayed until his legs ached, and then he wiped his smudged fingerprints from the plastic and left.

Kurogane woke up a minute later. For some reason he couldn't pin down, the empty space outside his window seemed darker. Emptier.

Extra hours at work and upcoming paper have made me slow to reply but....

ILOVE THIS!

This descriptions are wonderful, the need to cling to someone/something to ward off the vast darkness of space so poignant, the doors muttering sleepy hellos adorable.

He hardly noticed that he was fogging the plastic with his breath, that his hands were pressed hard against the barrier. There is something almost childlike in this moment. It's a very compelling image of Fai, I can picture it so clearly. I love the sense that even though Kurogane is the one locked up that Fai seems to feel trapped.

Kurogane woke up a minute later. For some reason he couldn't pin down, the empty space outside his window seemed darker. Emptier. Guhh, this makes me incoherent. ♥

It was actually really fun to write and made me want to continue this AU, so thank you for the prompt. The doors and the opening were honestly a Hitchhiker's reference... *lame*

Ahhh, I missed the reference to Hitchhikers, but then its been serveral years since I read it... I really need to reread that sometime...drat now you've just added another book to the ever growing pile of books I need to read once I finish that paper thats due soon. ehhem anyway.

Also because I am a failboat and all that, I went back along through my journal and found that the first chapter of the fic which I still ACTUALLY INTENT TO WRITE YOU, NO JOKE, needs a bit of rewriting. So I can start work on another chapter with everything in order. YUS.

Ffffff, oh god, that was ages ago and I'm sorry and I missed some awesome stuff, and opportunities for brilliant nonsense, because I went off to frolic on the PW kink meme for too long, orz. :/
Such as, well, Tunnel Flights. I loved the world of the AU, with the post-apocalyptic kind of setting, the bike races, the different team dynamics, the somewhat mysterious feeling that surrounded Sakura's circumstances (felt mysterious to me, anyway) and, well, everything, really.
And now I ninja back out again or I'd never shut up, fr srs.
